  •   I’ve never been compelled to write a review for anywhere I have stayed before, but our experience at Low Branthwaite just had to be shared.

Despite storm Ciara... read more threatening to disrupt plans, the reception that Anna and Darren created at Low Braithwaite was just the tonic to warm Ciara’s chills. Home baked lemon cake and freshly brewed coffee couldn’t have hit the mark any more accurately.

Add to that a tasteful farmhouse, stunning views and a cooked breakfast to die for and you’re still not quite doing it justice.

Waking with the cockerel’s cries was an authentic touch that added to the occasion and made our 3 year old’s morning. “It‘s like being on Peter Rabbit’s farm!”

The next day Darren and Anna provided constant updates on the weather conditions and local storm damage, meaning we could enjoy our morning playing board games without having to worry about onward travel. They really went above and beyond expectations.

We can’t thank you enough for making this stay a perfect break for all our family. Thank you. More

We really enjoyed having Anna's homemade breakfast in the private garden, which was a great way to start the day. We also loved seeing all the animals on the land, with James the sheep and Gideon the peacock as our favourites.

Hosts Anna and Darren are super friendly and provided us with loads of ideas for visiting the region. The area is great for beautiful walking trails and the local town of Sedbergh has some lovely restaurants and pubs. We very much enjoyed our weekend and won't hesitate to book Low Branthwaites again!
