As a family of 5, we were so lucky to find that the Barn apartment was available for 5 nights and we would highly recommend to anyone considering staying there,... read more as we had such a lovely time.
The apartment itself is spacious, well lit, and well equipped; it is set in lovely grounds that the kids could go and explore whilst my wife and i relaxed; they have lots of animals that the kids can interact with (my 6 year old gave a bottle to a lamb, the older ones loved the chickens - and the visiting peacock!) - and Anna was so helpful and knowledgeable with regards to what we might want to do, where we might want to go and the pro's and con's of various day-trips and outings.
They also had a huge selection of books, games, and other entertainment if the good old British weather got up to its tricks - although we were blessed with 5 days of sunshine, so we didn't really need that, but on arrival it was great to know it was there just in case.
It was a lovely stay, we are all missing it already, and can't wait to return - it was everything we wanted and more :) More

I’ve never been compelled to write a review for anywhere I have stayed before, but our experience at Low Branthwaite just had to be shared.
Despite storm Ciara... read more threatening to disrupt plans, the reception that Anna and Darren created at Low Braithwaite was just the tonic to warm Ciara’s chills. Home baked lemon cake and freshly brewed coffee couldn’t have hit the mark any more accurately.
Add to that a tasteful farmhouse, stunning views and a cooked breakfast to die for and you’re still not quite doing it justice.
Waking with the cockerel’s cries was an authentic touch that added to the occasion and made our 3 year old’s morning. “It‘s like being on Peter Rabbit’s farm!”
The next day Darren and Anna provided constant updates on the weather conditions and local storm damage, meaning we could enjoy our morning playing board games without having to worry about onward travel. They really went above and beyond expectations.
We can’t thank you enough for making this stay a perfect break for all our family. Thank you. More
